Photographer removal

Every mirror in the house takes a selfie. We take you back out of it.

The photographer's reflection dissolving out of the bathroom mirror

What it does

What Photographer Removal does.

Bathrooms are the trap: mirrors face the doorway, so the doorway is where the photographer stands, and the reflection ships with the listing. Windows, oven doors, and glass shower panels catch the same cameo.

Photographer removal erases the reflected person from every reflective surface and rebuilds the reflection that should be there — the opposite wall, the room, the light — so the frame reads clean. It runs automatically with HDR Merge orders.

Studio — Photographer Removal

Watch the edit happen.

A photographer caught in the vanity mirror, erased from the same frame with the reflection rebuilt
Where the photographer stood, the mirror now shows the wall behind them — warm-lit and gently graded, not blurred out.
The bright window edge at the right of the glass is still reflected. The rebuild continues the room instead of blanking the mirror.
Faucet, basin, worktop and towel bar are untouched. Only what the glass was showing changed.

Every bathroom, usable

Shoot the natural composition instead of contorting around the mirror — the reflection gets fixed in the edit.

The reflection stays plausible

We don't smear the mirror; we rebuild what it would actually reflect without a person standing there.

Windows and glass too

Exterior window reflections, oven doors, shower glass — same treatment everywhere a person shows.

Automatic with your merge

Runs on HDR Merge orders at no extra charge.

The Studio pipeline

Questions

Good questions.

Does it work when I'm large in the mirror?

Yes — even a full-frame reflection gets removed and the mirror rebuilt. The larger the reflection, the more of the scene we reconstruct, which is exactly what the pipeline is tuned for.

What about my tripod and flash?

Gear counts as part of you — tripods, flash units, and camera bags in reflections or shadows go too. For the camera itself in a straight-on mirror shot, see Camera Removal.

Why is it included with HDR Merge?

Because it's not optional in practice — nearly every interior shoot catches at least one reflection, so we treat fixing it as part of the baseline edit.
